About Natalie

Natalie Hauman is a South African Designer and Artist whose work explores the relationship between nature, materiality, light and the spaces we inhabit.

With a background in interior design and a lifelong affinity for art and the natural world, her creative practice moves between interiors, abstract art, objects and design.

Guided by an appreciation for organic forms, earthy textures, imperfect beauty and a sense of quiet simplicity, she creates work that feels both grounded and expressive.

Her approach is intuitive and material-led, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, colours and rhythms of everyday life — from the stillness of the mountains to the ever-changing movement of the sea.

Through NATALIE HAUMAN Atelier, she brings together a collection of creative explorations, collaborations and considered spaces, united by a common thread: a desire to create with meaning, feeling and a lasting connection to the natural world.

Currently based between Hermanus and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, South Africa.
